Job Description

We are looking for a Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Coordinator to support a manufacturing business based in Redditch.

As a key member of the HSE team, you will play a vital role in promoting a proactive and positive safety culture across the company.

On Offer:

  • £28,000 - £33,000
  • Quarterly attendance bonus
  • Monday – Friday – 38 hours per week
  • 23 days Annual leave raising to 25 after 2 years plus bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing an effective safety management system.
  • Participate in accident investigations to determine root causes alongside relevant departments.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support teams in establishing Safe Systems of Work.
  • Deliver site safety inductions for new employees and contractors.
  • Coordinate and manage external safety training providers.
  • Support routine compliance audits and safety inspections.
  • Assist in developing short- and long-term plans to reduce safety incidents, near misses, and accidents.
  • Oversee contractor management and ensure compliance with safety processes.
  • Assist in site waste management.
  • Maintain and review statutory safety documentation.
  • Manage PPE stock and reorder supplies as needed.
  • Lead monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings.
  • Drive engagement in health and safety initiatives across all levels of the business.

What We’re Looking For:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or currently working towards).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Health & Safety role.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001 standards.
  • Auditing experience and familiarity with compliance requirements.
