£42,120 - 51,480 + bonus + good benefits

We have partnered with a global leading manufacturing organisation, who are looking to appoint a HSE advisor to cover their manufacturing sites based near Wigan, Greater Manchester. It's a fast-paced environment and we are seeking a hands-on HSE advisor who can build relationships at all levels and continue to drive the safety culture.

This is a critical role where you will support innovative projects and initiatives while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement. They are seeking a dynamic HSE professional to join the Plant Management team and contribute to achieving group objectives.

The HSE Advisor Role:

1. Support and guide on various site HSE matters
2. Build relationships with key stakeholders across the site, promoting the development of a positive culture and best practice
3. Ensure all HSE training needs are fulfilled
4. Ensure all records are accurate and up to date, including upkeep of risk assessments, COSHH assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and Manual Handling Risk assessments
5. Audit site-based management systems ISO 45001 & 14001 to ensure full compliance
6. Develop and run HSE workshops and meetings

The HSE Advisor Candidate will have:

1. Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
2. Must have Nebosh general certificate or equivalent NVQ
3. Nebosh environmental or IEMA qualification
4. Ability to strongly influence various internal stakeholders
5. Experience of PUWER is advantageous
6. Previous experience with ISO 45001 and 14001 management systems
