Health & Safety Consultant - Risk Manager

Join our dynamic Risk Management team as a Health & Safety Consultant.

PIB Risk Management is recruiting an experienced and ambitious Health & Safety Consultant to provide consultancy services within sectors such as automotive, engineering & manufacturing, haulage & distribution, retail & commercial, subject to competency.

You will be responsible for covering Lincoln / Lincolnshire, with travel to client sites and some overnight stays. This is a full-time, client-facing role, not a contractor position.

Responsibilities

  • Work within an agreed scope and timescale with each client.
  • Produce and review risk assessments, safe systems of work, method statements, and policies.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections.
  • Carry out accident investigations and assist with legal defense preparations if necessary.
  • Maintain a good understanding of RIDDOR regulations.
  • Operate our online Health and Safety Management System (xCenta) and assist clients with system integration.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues and clients.
  • Represent the company and clients when dealing with enforcing authorities and insurance companies.
  • Perform noise assessments, hand arm vibration assessments, and safe air testing as needed (training provided).

Experience

  • Minimum NEBOSH General Certificate, with willingness to pursue Level 6 NVQ Diploma or equivalent.
  • Documented CPD demonstrating ongoing professional development.
  • Strong report writing skills.
  • Good understanding of current legislation and standards.
  • Attention to detail and deadline-oriented mindset.
  • Valid UK driving license and own vehicle (car allowance provided).

Desirable qualifications

  • DSEAR certification
  • Noise & Hand Arm Vibration Assessments
  • Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment
