Job summary

NFP is hiring a Health and Safety Consultant to support the Midlands Health and Safety team. You will plan and deliver audits, inspections, gap analyses, risk assessments and RAMS for our UK clients.

This role can be part-time and requires a full clean UK driving license, access to your own vehicle and strong report writing, communication and problem solving. NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 preferred; sector experience in construction, manufacturing, engineering or logistics is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Full, clean UK driving licence is required.
• Own vehicle with appropriate business insurance cover.
• High standard of report and document writing skills.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Logical thinking and strong problem solving.
• Good commercial awareness.
• Ability to research and apply advice based on clients' legal duties.
• Experience in Construction, Manufacturing, Engineering or Warehouse/Transport is advantageous.
• Level 6 Health and Safety qualification is essential (NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6).

Responsibilities

• Visit clients and perform full health and safety audits and inspections.
• Manage your own diary and liaise with clients on safety queries.
• Produce audit reports and advise on improvements.
• Review RAMS and safety policies, risk assessments and method statements.
• Support safety systems including incident investigations and COSHH documentation.
• Act as the main client point of contact on health and safety matters.
• Assist clients with accreditations such as CHAS, SafeContractor, Constructionline.
