We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Consultant to join one of the UK’s most renowned and respected Health and Safety consultancies based in Daventry. Please note that this is a hybrid role working from home with travel across the UK as required so a full driving license and willingness to travel nationwide is essential.

The Company

Our client was established in 1989 to meet the demand for a proficient, personalised Health and Safety service delivered by a highly skilled experienced team. They have grown significantly and have developed a reputation as one of the most respected Health and Safety consultancies in the UK.

Based in Daventry, their team is spread across the UK and they work with a variety of clients in sectors such as Luxury Retail, Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction and Logistics. They have a portfolio of clients including Associated British Foods, Red Bull Racing, Brompton cycles and Willowbrook Construction, as well as many other household names.

The Role

As a Health & Safety Consultant, you will provide a range of services including compliance management for mainly large, retained clients across FMCG, Construction and Manufacturing, along with general Health and Safety Management for other SML clients. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing relevant, up-to-date guidance for clients in accordance with Health & Safety legislation
  • Communicating effectively with all parts of the clients' business to ensure risks are managed
  • Producing reports for clients on a range of technical services
  • Evaluating clients' Health and Safety Management systems to ensure they are fit for purpose
  • Producing policies and procedures for clients and visiting sites to implement them
  • Providing telephone advice and support to clients when required

About You

As a Health & Safety Consultant, a full driving license and willingness to travel nationwide are essential. You will ideally have previous experience across various sectors, with a preference for the Construction industry, and you must have / be:

  • Minimum graduate IOSH, ideally with a broad, multi-industry background in Health & Safety
  • Comfortable presenting to clients professionally and engagingly
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is advantageous
  • Service-oriented, focused on providing efficient and timely service to all clients
  • Good communication skills along with excellent presentation skills
  • Credibility to engage and sell to a range of clients
  • Able to prioritize effectively to ensure timely service
  • Confident and adaptable to different personalities, developing effective relationships
  • Strong report writing skills with high accuracy
  • Proficient with IT systems including Microsoft Office, databases, and CRM systems
  • Excellent diary and time management skills
  • Knowledge of fire safety is an advantage

About the Rewards

For this role, you will receive an excellent salary of £50,000 to £65,000 depending on experience, plus additional benefits.
