Health & Safety Consultant (Associate Director) | Midlands UK

Role Overview

Join our health & safety advisory team in the Midlands as an Associate Director. This full-time, permanent role involves working from Leicester or Birmingham offices, with a mix of office, site, and home work.

Responsibilities include delivering high standards of safety, health, and wellbeing services, including audits, coaching, and policy development.

Ideal candidates will have NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications, experience in the construction industry, and a strong understanding of the Building Safety Act.

Key Duties
  • Conduct health & safety audits using iAuditor/Safety Culture.
  • Develop and implement systems, procedures, and policies.
  • Produce reports and action plans.
  • Create policies, risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safe working practices.
  • Assist clients with SSIP accreditations.
  • Build relationships with clients and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Deliver training, coaching, and conduct accident investigations.
  • Advise on wellbeing initiatives for the construction sector.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar health & safety role within construction.
  • Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn new reporting systems quickly.
  • Ability to review risk assessments and advise on control measures.
  • Knowledge of RAMS.
  • Proficient in report writing and IT skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • NEBOSH certificate (essential), CMIOSH or working towards Chartered status (desirable), and CSCS card (essential).
