Job summary

Insignis is seeking a Home-based Health & Safety Consultant to join on a permanent basis. The role involves travelling to a portfolio of clients, delivering health, safety and fire advice to schools and commercial premises across the region.

The successful candidate will carry out fire risk assessments, risk assessments, and provide clear guidance with strong presentation and writing standards. A Cert IOSH or CMIOSH and a full driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be Cert IOSH or CMIOSH.
• NVQ Level 4 or above in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Full Driving Licence and Own vehicle.
• Experience working within schools or education environment.
• Excellent presentation and written work.
• Client-facing role desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out fire risk assessments and health & safety inspections.
• Provide health & safety and fire safety advice to schools and commercial premises.
• Produce risk assessments and plans including fire risk and premises risk assessments.
• Travel to client sites as part of a portfolio of clients.
• Maintain high standards of presentation and written work.

Job description

A client of mine is looking for a home-based Health & Safety Consultants, to work for them on a Permanent basis due to business growth. Your role will involve travelling to a portfolio of clients offering Health, Safety and Fire advice to various Schools and Commercial Premises. The selected candidate must my competent at carrying out Fire Risk assessments and lone working. We are looking for the candidate to be based in Greater London, Surrey, North Hampshire or North Kent.

You will be providing health & safety services to a range of clients, although primarily schools/education establishments however all industry sectors will be considered and welcomed. This will include undertaking inspections, providing advice and guidance on health & safety matters, producing plans and risk assessments including fire risk and premises risk assessments.

The successful candidate will be a minimum of Cert Iosh, and have experience working within schools or education environment. This is a client facing role so exceptional people skills and the highest standard of presentation and written work essential. Experience in a consulting role is desirable as is experience/ knowledge of health & safety in a school/learning environment.

It would be ideal for someone to come from an education background however, other backgrounds are very much considered. This is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting to work for a growing business who invest in their staff.

On top of the salaries there will also be a £4000 car allowance and paid mileage.
