SummaryA world-leading design, engineering and project management organisation is looking to add a Health & Safety Consultant to their regional team based in Scotland. The role can be based in either the Glasgow, Edinburgh, or Aberdeen Offices and will cover a range of sectors including but not limited to: property, industrial and education.
Responsibilities:The role is primarily based on the delivery of CDM Services, although experience of delivering additional associated Health & Safety Services could be an advantage.
You will be responsible for delivering a number of roles, which we have established following the introduction of CDM 2015, in all technical and contractual aspects of professional practice while also:
- Providing Health & Safety Services on both independent commissions and also to complement our wider project delivery services
- Production of pre-construction information, files and other associated CDM documents
- Ensuring Designer compliance
- Reviewing contractors' documentation
- Interfacing with clients and design teams on a project basis
- Advising clients on procurement options and consultant appointment issues
- Being proactive in business development of the Services within the Region
- Keeping updated with current legal developments in respect of construction and associated law
Requirements:- We require a consultant with suitable and relevant experience, ideally from a design or construction background
- Professional Qualification in Design or Construction
- NEBOSH qualified (ideally Construction Certificate)
- Preferable Member of APS / IOSH
- Experience in a similar role
- Good IT skills and working knowledge of MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the component parts of CDM2015 and other Health & Safety issues
- Driving Licence
