The role

The purpose of this role is to support the Health & Building Safety Assurance Lead in the implementation and on-going provision of a Group wide Health and Safety Management System to ensure legal compliance and advance the Group to deliver sector leading service. To support the provision of assurance over property compliance that statutory duties and consumer standards are being met, and to support the provision of assurance over development/contractor activities in respect of CDM and Health and Safety practices.

This role will be a mix of office, home and site based work and may involve some infrequent travel across our sites within the Midlands / South East / East Anglia.

This role is part of Regulatory & Governance where you'll help us give colleagues the support and expertise they need to be brilliant.

What you'll achieve

• Support in providing advice, guidance and support on all health and safety related issues
• Support in providing Health and Safety related training to the Groups staff as and when required
• Responsible for undertaking Health and Safety audits, inspections, investigations and ad-hoc visits
• Support in the collation of data, enabling statistical analysis to support the Health & Building Safety Assurance Lead with reporting
• Support in implementing and monitoring health and safety policies, procedures and guidance and ensuring that any updates required are highlighted to the Health & Building Safety Assurance Lead
• To assist, review and report on Health & Safety Compliance across the organisation
• Support the group wide assurance on CDM and Building Safety compliance

What you'll bring

Essential skills

• Must have experience of effectively delivering and monitoring H&S activity across a multi-site organisation
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate and\\or SMSTS
• Tech IOSH or higher
• Experience of delivering Health & Safety training to stakeholders of all levels & seniority
• Knowledge and understanding of current health and safety legislation, regulations and codes of practice
• Knowledge of CDM Regulations
• Must be willing and able to travel

• Experience of working within Social Housing
