A leading UK retailer is seeking an administrative support professional to assist the Lead Trainers and Health and Safety Coordinator. Responsibilities include maintaining training and accident databases, filing, and supporting health and safety processes. Candidates should be PC literate and possess strong communication and organizational skills. Flexibility for additional hours may be required.

Job description

To support the day-to-day functions of the Lead Trainers and the Health and Safety Coordinator.

Must be adaptable to suit the needs of the business and may be required to fulfill other reasonable tasks.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Filing and administration
  2. Updating and maintaining the training matrix
  3. Updating analytic reports
  4. Supporting the accident investigation process
  5. Maintaining the accident database
  6. Maintaining the contractor RAMs database
  7. Supporting health, safety, and compliance processes
  8. Supporting training for transport and warehouse teams
  9. Monitoring and controlling contractors
  10. Assisting with health and safety active monitoring, including internal and external audits

Requirements:

  • PC literate (Excel, Word)
  • Team player with a confident telephone manner
  • Ability to work on own initiative and effectively in a busy, changing environment
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • GCSE Maths and English grade C or above, or equivalent
  • Administrative experience
  • Experience with invoices and accident reports is advantageous
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when required, including late hours to meet deadlines
