Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health & Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our health and safety protocols within Heathrow Airport and construction sites in and around London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among all employees.

This role requires attention to detail and effective communication with clients and all organizational levels.

Duties

• Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements.
• Conduct regular risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
• Prepare detailed reports on health and safety performance, including recommendations for improvements.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on health and safety practices, including first aid procedures.
• Monitor compliance through regular audits and inspections.
• Collaborate with management to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Stay updated on industry trends, legislation, and best practices.
• Work airside within Heathrow Airport (DBS Checks with 5 Years work history required).

Requirements

• Proven experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the civils industry.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent report writing skills and clear communication.
• Proficiency in risk assessments and control measures.
• First aid certification is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating leadership.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work within a 24/7 reactive business environment.
• Good understanding of transport management (FORES, etc.).
• Maintain all company ISO and certification updates.
• Support environmental compliance initiatives.
