Senior Health Safety & Environmental Manager

Continued growth and diverse workload have created the need to recruit a Senior Leader to drive safety and manage the company's environmental responsibilities.

Requirements

Purpose of the role:

  • Support the Company Group HSEQT Director by improving Management Systems, focusing on incident reporting, investigations, audits, inspections, and guidance across sites, offices, and yards.
  • Champion behavioural change and visual standards.

Essential skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of the construction and/or house building industry and relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Commitment to Continual Personal Development (CPD) to stay current with legislation.
  • Possession or progress towards relevant CSCS Competence card.
  • Good presentation and persuasive communication skills.
Main duties of the role:
  • Conduct audits, inspections, investigations, and provide support aligned with visual standards.
  • Assist the HSEQT Director with reports, ESG strategy, management meetings, and ensuring high standards of health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Contribute to fostering a safety and environmental responsibility culture.
  • Support development and maintenance of ISO systems and internal audits.
  • Enhance the Global Hub/SharePoint systems in line with company objectives.
  • Represent the company at client meetings and liaise with regulatory bodies.
  • Participate in pre-start reviews as needed.
Desired experience:
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Management.
  • ISO 14001, 9001, & 45001 standards management.
  • Effective communication, policy development, risk assessments, and relationship management.
Preferred qualifications:
  • NEBOSH General/Construction.
  • Membership of IOSH/IEMA or equivalent.
  • Relevant CSCS Card.
