Role Overview

Join a leading biopharmaceutical company in Hertfordshire as a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager. Your expertise will be pivotal in steering the site towards a proactive and sustainable future. You will provide practical support, solutions, and advice to ensure the site exceeds environmental and safety standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HS&E legislation and liaise with authorities and trade unions on EH&S matters.
2. Drive the development of a positive safety culture with effective communication of safe working practices.
3. Oversee document control, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001 & 14001 standards.
4. Provide HS&E advice and support to leadership, fostering continuous improvement and strategic alignment.

Role Requirements

To succeed, candidates should have:

1. Relevant NEBOSH and IEMA certifications, preferably a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
2. Experience delivering health and safety advice within a multi-disciplinary, pharmaceutical manufacturing, GxP / GMP environment.
3. Understanding and practical experience with ISO 45001 & 14001 management systems; ISO 45001 lead auditor certification is desirable.
