As the Health, Safety, and Environment Technician, you will work for a food manufacturer supplying innovative food products to UK retailers.

This is an exciting opportunity; our client is looking for someone to grow with the business.

If you have a year of industry experience or previous work within a food manufacturing site, then this role could be suitable for you. You will spend significant time in the factory, so comfort in that environment is essential.

You will be involved in collating information and participating in various projects, including initiatives related to sustainability.

The client is planning to implement a new HSE software system to centralize data and improve accessibility. This is your chance to be involved from the start of this exciting project.

This is a Monday to Friday, days-based role.

You will be responsible for:

  • Handling documentation and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Recording health, safety, and environmental queries or concerns
  • Collaborating with other departments to prioritize HSE
  • Supporting project delivery
  • Conducting monthly audits
  • Managing HSE database administration
  • Assisting with the implementation of HSE software

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment
  • Good IT skills and strong communication abilities
  • Planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to find alternative solutions
  • A NEBOSH General Certificate or IEMA Certificate is desirable or in progress
