Job description

Position: Health, Safety and Environment Manager (2 sites)

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: £55,000 - £59,000 per annum + 10% Bonus

The site:

• Covering two large sites with high-risk machinery and significant investment, producing products at a fast pace
• Existing strong systems, procedures, and policies

Main responsibilities:

• Manage all Health, Safety, and Environment requirements, providing proactive support, solutions, and advice across both sites
• Collaborate with General Managers to implement change, reporting to the Regional HSE Manager
• Promote a culture of accountability for HSE among all employees
• Develop, coach, and mentor staff to ensure understanding and compliance with HSE standards
• Liaise with stakeholders, group sites, insurers, and regulatory bodies
• Report and investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and property damage, fostering continuous safety improvements
• Monitor and report on HSE key performance indicators
• Prioritize machinery safety and guarding
• Assist senior leadership in developing and implementing the annual HSE plan
