Seeking a motivated HSE professional who is passionate, caring, and engaging in their approach. Able to influence the workforce and support them with problem solving, advising across a wide remit of projects, nourishing effective, positive culture and behaviors across the site. You will be well supported from the site and wider HSE team across the other sites in the group.
Main responsibilities
- To influence and empower the workforce and support the site on a day-to-day basis with their Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements
- Support and maintain compliance, the upkeep of internal systems and documentation.
- Support the HSE zero-loss journey map / masterplan activities along with supporting the ongoing development of a positive safety culture, behaviors, and department lead activities.
- Ensure that Health and Safety performance indicators are tracked with expectations understood and annual plans developed to drive continuous improvement.
- Determine and prioritize site loss opportunities, manage HSE budget and annual capital allocation
- Support the site vision and goals and ‘Zero Loss Mentality’ through engagement and capability building of colleagues.
- Offer coaching and mentoring to the workforce on-site
- Support the HSE manager with some exciting projects and also spearhead campaigns across this site
- Help support stakeholders, influence, and engage middle management to ensure HSE remains a top priority
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience
- NEBOSH Certificate
- Manufacturing experience, ideally from the Food/Beverage/Paper or Packaging sector, or other aligned fast-paced manufacturing backgrounds
- Experience working within safety teams to drive improvements in culture and performance
