Opportunity for a Health, Safety and Compliance Manager - Fire & Security Systems (Sizewell C) working with G4S Fire & Security on the Sizewell C Project
What will you be doing:
- Create, maintain, promote, and review on a regular basis a safe environment for all activities associated with the delivery of the project.
- Provide expert advice to the Security Infrastructure team on all levels of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Compliance matters.
- Maintain (in collaboration with line management) all appropriate policies and procedures to ensure all statutory requirements are complied with.
- Ensure that the Customer's Health and Safety culture continues to be ingrained within the culture of the G4S Security Infrastructure team.
- Act as the lead liaison with the Customer's and other Contractor's Health, Safety, Environmental, and Compliance teams daily, ensuring and assuring compliance across the board.
- Assist in the production of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and other documentation as required to gain Permits to Work in a timely manner, in conjunction with Installation and Service Leads.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Either a qualified Health and Safety Professional with a minimum of 2 years in a similar role OR an experienced Security Systems Engineer with a good understanding of NSI and Health Safety standards and a minimum of 5 years' experience, seeking the next step in their career.
- Experience working within the Electrical / Mechanical installation industry, ideally with Low Voltage and Extra-Low Voltage Systems.
Must haves:
- Ability to pass BS7858 screening.
- Full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Additional screening may be required for some government sites.
