What will you be doing

  1. Create, maintain, promote, and review a safe environment for all activities related to project delivery.
  2. Provide expert advice on Health, Safety, Environmental, and Compliance matters to the Security Infrastructure team.
  3. Maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements, in collaboration with line management.
  4. Foster a strong Health and Safety culture within the G4S Security Infrastructure team, aligned with the Customer’s standards.
  5. Act as the primary liaison with the Customer’s and other Contractors’ Health, Safety, Environmental, and Compliance teams, ensuring compliance across all activities.
  6. Assist in producing Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and other documentation necessary for Permits to Work, in collaboration with Installation and Service Leads.

What we are looking for

  1. Either a Qualified Health and Safety Professional with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  2. Or an experienced Security Systems Engineer with a good understanding of NSI and Health & Safety standards, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience, seeking career progression.
  3. A professional attitude with a proactive, 'Can Do' approach; willingness to work out of hours when necessary.
  4. A strong desire to learn new skills and advance their career.
  5. Team player, comfortable engaging with Engineers, Managers, Customer Representatives, and other Safety teams on site.
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), fluent in English, with good communication skills.
  7. Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  8. Experience in Electrical/Mechanical installation industry, preferably with Low Voltage and Extra-Low Voltage Systems.

Must haves

  • Ability to pass BS7858 screening.
  • Clean UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance.
  • Additional screening may be required for some government sites.
