Job description

Health & Safety Advisor - Minor Works 5656, Stratford

We are seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to join our Construction Safety Team, supporting our organization in fulfilling its client responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015. The role involves providing professional safety advice and support to the Minor Works team.

You will assist the Senior Health & Safety Advisor in monitoring contractor safety performance across all sites, conducting audits, due diligence checks, and site visits as needed.

Responsibilities include providing guidance to the Minor Works and Major Works teams, attending contractor meetings, and supporting safety-related projects. Key duties:

  • Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015 regulations and assisting Minor Works in their application
  • Maintaining safety registers and trackers
  • Assisting with pre-construction information collation and issuance
  • Conducting audits and checks to monitor contractor safety performance
  • Providing advice on the CDM health and safety file
  • Reporting on safety performance data monthly

The ideal candidate will have:

  • NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate and membership in a recognized health and safety institute
  • Construction knowledge, including terminology and processes, with experience in housing sector health & safety legislation
  • Experience with Construction Design Management Regulations 2015, especially on the client side, including contractor audits
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office
  • Clear communication skills and workload management abilities
