Job summary

Principal People are recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor to support major infrastructure projects across Kent and Sussex. The role offers a hybrid pattern with 1 day per week from home and a package including a car or allowance, pension and private medical options.

The ideal candidate will hold NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate, have Tier 1 contractor experience and bring a practical, forward-thinking approach to HS&E across planning, pre-construction and delivery phases.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (or equivalent).
• Experience within a Tier 1 contractor environment strongly preferred.
• Background within construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, highways or similar.

Responsibilities

• Providing practical HS&E support across projects throughout Kent and Sussex.
• Working closely with operational teams to identify risk and improve performance.
• Supporting projects through planning, pre-construction, mobilisation and delivery.
• Conducting site inspections, audits and HS&E reviews.
• Reviewing RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and project documentation.
• Supporting incident investigations and continuous improvement.
• Building strong relationships with operational teams, clients and supply-chain partners.
