Job description

SHEQ Advisor
East Staffordshire
Permanent
GBP45,000 plus GBP5,400 car allowance

We are working with a leading property and infrastructure support services company to recruit a SHEQ Advisor for their infrastructure division. Reporting directly to the SHEQ Manager, the SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for providing health, safety, environmental, and quality support and guidance to the business.

The SHEQ Advisor will, in addition to working from their offices in East Staffordshire, provide support to the operational sites and projects throughout the Midlands area and support the wider England team where required.

The SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for:

  1. Promoting good H&S practices throughout the business.
  2. Creating tactical plans for improved performance and driving the development of safety culture.
  3. Leading Safety Committee Meetings.
  4. Ensuring compliance with the company's Integrated QEHS Management Systems with ISO standards 9001, 14001, 45001.
  5. Undertaking site audits and inspections to achieve compliance, and reporting back findings for any corrective actions needed.
  6. Working with clients and sub–contractors to build alignment with the business' HSE approach.

The SHEQ Advisor will have:
  1. NEBOSH GC or equivalent level 3 qualification.
  2. Ideally a membership with IOSH.
  3. Working knowledge of current legislation including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  4. An enthusiasm to learn and develop with good interpersonal skills.
