Job summary

RecruitMe is recruiting for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to support operations at a live energy facility in Forth, near Lanark, South Lanarkshire. You will act as the principal source of day-to-day health and safety guidance on site, helping ensure legal compliance and drive a proactive safety culture.

In this highly visible, site-based role you will lead audits, incident investigations and ISO 45001 implementation, work with Plant Manager and contractors, and help manage outages

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate required.
• Experience in energy from waste, biomass, power generation, utilities, process manufacturing or heavy industry is essential.
• Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practice.
• Experience in audits and workplace inspections.

Responsibilities

• Support Plant Manager with health and safety requirements on site.
• Lead behavioural safety initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Maintain ISO 45001 and health and safety management systems.
• Oversee safety during planned outages and outages planning activities.
• Produce detailed health and safety reports and summaries.
