Job description

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact? We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a busy and growing Aberdeen-based QHSE consultancy providing expert Health & Safety guidance to businesses across Scotland. Due to continued growth and a strong client base, they are expanding their team based in the North of Aberdeen and are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join them on a permanent staff basis. As the role involves travel to client sites, a full UK Driving License is required.

The Role:

Based out of their office in Aberdeen, you will provide health and safety support to a diverse range of clients across multiple industries, including construction, manufacturing, engineering, and more. The majority of the client base is in and around Aberdeen, however they do also support clients further afield. The company offer the flexibility of hybrid working, and you can join on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting audits and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Developing risk assessments and safe systems of work.
  • Advising on compliance requirements and training options.
  • Supporting clients in the implementation of HSE&Q management systems.
  • Assisting with third-party certifications.
  • Keeping up to date with UK health and safety law and best practice.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) – Diploma preferred.
  • Cert IOSH or CMIOSH (or working towards).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
  • Experience carrying out audits and developing policies and procedures.
  • Lead Auditor qualification and experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 (desirable).
  • Ability to conduct Fire Risk Assessments across a range of premises.
  • A full UK driving licence.
