We're now looking for a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to join our team at our Fells site in Lennoxtown and help drive continuous improvement across our Health & Safety practices.
About the role:
As a Health & Safety Advisor at Highland Spring, you’ll play a key role in supporting all areas of the business to adopt and comply with Health & Safety legislation, as well as our own policies and procedures. Working closely with managers and our Group Health & Safety Manager, you’ll provide expert advice, carry out regular inspections and audits, and help promote a strong culture of safety across all sites.
This is a hands-on role that will see you conduct risk assessments, monitor performance metrics, and lead investigations into accidents and incidents. You’ll also coordinate Health & Safety meetings and safety representatives to ensure our high standards are consistently met.
You’ll be empowered to take decisive action when necessary, including halting unsafe operations to protect people and equipment, with the full backing of the business.
What you can expect:
- Advise management and executive teams on Health & Safety legislation and best practices
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and statutory obligations
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Lead or support the investigation of accidents and incidents, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions
- Monitor and report Health & Safety performance and metrics
- Coordinate Health & Safety meetings and support site safety representatives
- Ensure emergency procedures are in place and fit for purpose
What we are looking for:
- 2–3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within a manufacturing or similar fast-paced environment
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 45001 and the Health & Safety at Work Act
- Proven experience conducting audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in the Health & Safety field
