Job summary

RSE Control Systems is recruiting an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to ensure compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation across our sites. The role involves some travel to other locations and sites, providing guidance to engineers and site managers on risk assessments and safe working practices.

You will inspect and audit activities, generate reports, and liaise with departments to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (Level 3) is highly advantageous.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Strong practical knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure activities comply with Health and Safety management systems.
• Provide H&S guidance to departments and individuals.
• Carry out H&S inspections and audits at sites and construction sites.
• Prepare inspection/audit reports for management.
• Assist engineers and site managers with risk assessments and safe-working practices.
• Produce COSHH assessments as required.
• Communicate and liaise with all departments.

What Are We Looking For?

RSE Control Systems have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team on a permanent basis. Your role will involve ensuring that all RSE Control Systems companies’ activities are carried out in accordance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and that all persons affected either directly or indirectly are not subjected to avoidable risks. Please note this position will include some travel to other sites and locations.

Some Of Your Key Duties Include

• Ensure that all activities are carried out in compliance with company Health and Safety management systems
• Provide assistance on all matters related to Health and Safety issues to departments and individuals within the business.
• Carry out Health and Safety inspections and/or audits both at the companies’ premises, and construction sites, as directed by the QHSE Lead to ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner and that persons are not placed in a hazardous environment.
• Complete relevant Health & Safety inspections and/or audit reports highlighting any issues/nonconformance and issue the report to the relevant management team.
• Assist and advise Engineers/Site Managers as appropriate with the preparation of Health & Safety risk assessments and matters of safe working and compliance as required
• Produce COSHH assessments as required
• Communicate and liaise fully with all departments within the business

What Do You Need?

• NEBOSH general (Level 3) is highly advantageous.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
• Practical understanding and approach to managing Health & Safety, with a focus on building relationships with delivery teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
• Full UK Driving Licence
