Job description

HSE Advisor

This Health and Safety Advisor opportunity is with a Tier 1 Main Contractor, established as a market leader in the Commercial, Residential, Public, and Interiors sectors. They work on a diverse range of projects, including new build, fit-out, and refurbishment schemes, valued from GBP 5 million to GBP 100 million.

You will be covering projects across the South East of England.

The Role:

We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to join the team, working on interior and refurbishment projects ranging from GBP 500k to GBP 10 million.

  • Monitor the company's safety and environmental performance, including that of subcontractors and employers, and produce SHE support reports for management.
  • Investigate hazardous practices or operations and provide guidance; exercise authority to cease work and subcontractor activities until remedial actions are implemented.
  • Review absences due to accidents or injuries and ensure reportable incidents are notified to the relevant authorities.
  • Stay informed about current and upcoming health and SHE legislation.
  • Assist in maintaining the company's SHE Management System and related documentation.
  • Support Directors, Managers, Department Heads, and Supervisors in implementing the SHE Policy.

Experience in asbestos, demolition, scaffolding, and fit-out is essential.

The ideal candidate will have experience in banking, commercial, public sector, and retail fit-out projects.
