Health & Safety Advisor

Contract Length: 6 months (potential to extend)

Location: Ambergate, Derbyshire (5 days a week onsite)

Salary: Circa GBP45,000 per annum

Are you a proactive Health & Safety professional looking for an exciting opportunity in the Gas and Utilities sector? Our client, a leader in Gas Services, is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to support operational teams and ensure compliance across various projects and depots. This role is pivotal to maintaining high safety standards and fostering a culture of safety within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct SHE Inspections across Gas Services Projects to verify the implementation of safety controls.
• Perform ISO45001 Inspections to facilitate ongoing certification, primarily at aligned depots.
• Operate autonomously, delivering against performance indicators while adapting to the dynamic demands of the business.
• Identify gaps and non-compliance with internal and external safety requirements.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to operational colleagues to enhance safety practices.
• Collaborate with the team to challenge existing practices and develop innovative solutions for improved performance.
• Support the SHE Plans for contributing to the overall safety strategy.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• NEBOSH Certificate
• Experience in construction or utilities projects
• In-depth knowledge of current legislation, with the ability to interpret and apply it effectively to various situations
