A reputable Contractor is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to support diverse rail projects across the Midlands. The role involves working collaboratively with teams to uphold safety practices, with responsibilities including site audits and team support, offering a chance to influence safety standards in a growing regional operation.
We are working in partnership with a reputable Contractor to Network Rail, delivering a wide range of rail projects across the West and East Midlands. With operations continuing to expand across the Midlands region and multiple projects either underway or in development, they are now seeking to appoint a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to support their regional operations.
You'll be working as part of a collaborative team of 7, reporting directly into the Health & Safety Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to diverse, high-impact rail works across multiple depots.
This newly created position presents a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by working closely with project delivery teams and regional leadership to instil and uphold robust H&S practices across various sites, existing and new.
Location: Based primarily on site in Leicester, the role involves a balanced mix of site and office presence, along with the option to work from home when not required on-site or in-office. Some night work may be required.
Conduct regular site audits and inspections across a portfolio of infrastructure projects.
Provide support to project teams on all aspects of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Promote a proactive and positive culture towards Health & Safety standards and regulatory adherence.
Contribute to internal reporting processes, continuous improvement initiatives, and team engagement activities.
Support the ongoing development and enhancement of H&S practices as the regional footprint grows.
Be part of a well-supported regional team with established and stable leadership.

NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (essential)
NEBOSH Diploma (advantageous)
Familiarity with ISO <phone number removed> , or 9001 standards (desirable)
Previous experience in Rail and in-depth understanding of Network Rail procedures
