Job description

Health & Safety Advisor Role
Full-time permanent position
Full-time site based 5 days a week
Construction experience is crucial.

As the Health and Safety Adviser, you'll need to:

  1. Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks could be reduced.
  2. Outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards.
  3. Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
  4. Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation.
  5. Prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy.
  6. Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks.
  7. Keep records of inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
  8. Record incidents and accidents and produce statistics for managers.
  9. Produce management reports, newsletters and bulletins.
  10. Ensure equipment is installed safely.
  11. Manage and organise the safe disposal of hazardous substances, e.g. asbestos.
