Job Title: Health & Safety AdvisorLocation: Hampshire (Hybrid – 2 days from home)Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum + Excellent BenefitsContract Type: Permanent | Full-TimeJoin a Greener, Safer FutureA forward-thinking organisation in the utilities sector is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to support its operations and facilities teams across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. This is a great opportunity to work for an organisation committed to reducing its environmental impact and building a safer, more sustainable future.About the RoleYou’ll be responsible for providing competent health and safety advice, supporting compliance with legislation, and promoting a strong culture of care and wellbeing across operational sites.Key responsibilities include: * Advising on all aspects of health and safety compliance and best practice * Supporting the review of risk assessments and safe systems of work * Leading incident investigations and root cause analysis * Carrying out audits, inspections, and assurance visits * Coaching managers and staff to raise awareness and competence * Providing local training and support for EcoOnline (H&S reporting system) * Contributing to an on-call rota (approx. 1 week in 10) for serious incidents * Acting as a visible ambassador for health, safety and wellbeingAbout YouTo be successful, you’ll need: * NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) and minimum CertIOSH membership * Previous experience in a H&S advisory role (utilities, infrastructure or similar) * Strong knowledge of relevant H&S legislation and practical application * Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across the regionDesirable (but not essential): * CMIOSH or CFIOSH status * Experience with CDM, DSEAR, ATEX, LOLER or asbestos management * Knowledge of water operations or environmental awareness qualificationsWhat’s on Offer * Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience * Hybrid working – average 2 days from home * Up to 11% employer pension contribution * 25 days annual leave + bank holidays * Life assurance (4x salary) * Health Cash Plan & Digital GP service * Electric car and cycle to work salary sacrifice schemes * Discount programme with over 800 retailers * Funded training and development * 2 paid volunteering days per yearApply NowIf you’re a passionate and practical H&S professional ready to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you
