Job description

Our H&S team specializes in all operational areas of compliance and risk management, including Health & Safety, Environmental (HS&E), Fire Safety, and Emergency Planning. The team also has specialist knowledge of public liability insurance and provides expert advice to clients and colleagues on these matters. Increasingly, clients require not just legal minimums but sensible risk management strategies with clear leadership and engagement programs. Our services, such as statutory compliance audits, gap analysis of current systems, and pragmatic solutions and risk assessments, help reduce risks for stakeholders.

The purpose of this role is to be part of an administrative team that provides excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders on all health and safety matters, from compliance to incident management. This role is ideal for someone interested in starting a career in health and safety, as it offers operational knowledge and a broad understanding of health and safety issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the HS&E inbox, including queries, incident reports, and coverage for the compliance and insurance inboxes.
  • Handle all received queries and incidents promptly, familiarizing yourself with HS&E policies and procedures and staying updated with communications from the Safety+ management team.
  • Escalate queries and incidents to the H&S Advisor when necessary.
  • Immediately escalate urgent queries or incidents to the Safety+ management team.
  • Maintain a tracker spreadsheet to improve visibility of all risk management emails.
  • Log and manage all HS&E incidents, assist with initial investigations, and ensure timely closure.
  • Produce summary and detailed reports for the Safety+ Management team, including drafting senior reports for clients.
  • Assist in taking minutes at key HS&E meetings chaired by senior team members.
Compliance
  • Assist in producing and updating compliance reports and systems.
  • Help track outstanding actions and documents, communicating with site teams to ensure completion.
Training and Communications
  • Complete the Savills Pathway training on relevant HS&E topics.
  • Contribute to the Safety+ newsletter and share incident management insights.
