Job Description:

Amentum is a leading global provider of technical and engineering services, with a heritage of operational excellence, safety, and ethics. We are recruiting Health Physics Surveyors for a major project near Newbury.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Health Physics Manager and RPA in radiological oversight and control of buildings.
• Assist with decommissioning activities, including area entries with RPE.
• Perform radiation and contamination surveys and complete reports.
• Utilize air sampling equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
• Provide health physics coverage during operations.
• Ensure health physics clearance of items from controlled areas.
• Maintain stock of PPE and respiratory equipment.
• Perform contamination area duties, including laundry organization.
• Instruct and coach trainees and staff in radiological safety.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• City and Guilds Level 1 Radiological Protection certification.
• At least 3 years of surveying experience, preferably with air-fed suits.
• Knowledge of radiological protection, decommissioning, and radioactive waste management.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing environments.
• IOSH Managing Safely certification is desirable.
• Must be a British national eligible for DV security clearance.
