Gedling Local Mental Health Team (LMHT) provides specialised mental health assessments and evidence-based treatment within the Gedling area. The service is committed to the principles of recovery, aiming for people to be empowered to be as independent as possible and wellness recovery action planning.
A full UK driving licence and a vehicle for business use are required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Please note: applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), and this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first two months of employment. You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service (annual fee £16).
Gedling Local Mental Health Team are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Band 4 Health Improvement Worker to work across the Gedling area. This role involves working with LMHT and secondary Mental Healthcare Services, with patients identified as having serious mental illness and cardio-metabolic risk factors. People with a Serious Mental Illness die on average 15–20 years earlier than the general population, often due to under-identification or poor management of cardio-metabolic risk factors.
