Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the BCUHB Health Improvement Team, which aims to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities in Caia Park, Central Wrexham, and Flint. If you have an empathetic, engaging, and motivating personality, and are a good listener, then this could be the right career for you.

The BCU Health Improvement Team is seeking a part-time (22.5 hours/week) Band 5 Health Improvement Practitioner focused on mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Knowledge or experience in health improvement, health promotion, mental health, wellbeing, or public health would be advantageous.

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in health improvement and align with the Public Health Wales strategy for enhancing health and wellbeing in Wales.

Working within the BCU Health Improvement Team, your role will involve supporting the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of various health improvement programs focusing on mental health and emotional wellbeing, aligned with local and national priorities.

We seek a motivated, self-directed individual who can work as part of a dynamic team. We offer regular supervision, training, and personal development opportunities to help you reach your potential. Candidates must hold a relevant degree or equivalent experience and skills, as detailed in the Job Description and Person Specification documents.
