Job summary

Blood Cancer UK is seeking a Health Equity and Involvement Manager (maternity cover) in London. The role leads on health equity, inclusion and involvement, guiding programmes to embed equity across services and partnerships.

You will manage the Involvement Officer and work with the Involvement Network to ensure meaningful voices shape strategies. Hybrid travel to UK offices is expected a few times monthly.

Qualifications

• Experience in health inequalities or inclusion roles.
• Experience embedding lived experience to inform service or programme design.
• Ability to translate inequities into actionable programmes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and translate health inequities in access, experience and outcomes for blood cancer patients using lived experience insights and data.
• Apply an equity lens across system innovation programmes and partnerships to reduce inequities.
• Ensure lived experience is incorporated into programmes and evaluation with guidance on inclusive approaches.
• Oversee development of the organisation-wide involvement programme and line manage the Involvement Officer.
• Provide guidance on inclusion and reducing disparities in proposed interventions.
• Develop approaches to assess equity impact of programmes and contribute to evaluation frameworks.
• Capture and articulate learning to inform internal strategy and external influence.
• Build understanding across teams and external partners in applying an equity lens with practical tools.
• Line manage and develop the Involvement Officer to ensure engagement and performance.
