About the role:
The Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP) Health Clinician position provides the health response as part of the tri-agency approach to serious child abuse incidences, alongside NSW Police and Department of Community and Justice (DCJ). This can include providing support to children, young people and their non-offending family members, as well as case management within JCPRP. You will make referrals and liaise within NSW Health facilities to provide medical and forensic examinations and psycho-social support.
To aid your success in this role, you will receive initial training, structured orientation and education into the service. The JCPRP Health network provides opportunities for continuing professional development and specialised supervision is provided. The team also provides opportunities for flexible working and values work-life balance.
Where you’ll be working:
This position sits within the Child and Family Allied Health Team at Tamworth Community Health Service, as part of the broader Violence Abuse and Neglect (VAN) network. The Child and Family Allied Health team is a large, paediatric multidisciplinary team providing clinical services. We’re a positive, tight-knit team that values connection and collaboration. We celebrate birthdays, participate in community events, and support one another through regular supervision and informal catch-ups - there’s a genuine sense of camaraderie that extends beyond the day-to-day work. With a mix of early career and more experienced allied health professionals, we value supporting all levels of learning and development.
