Pay Range National: £26,300 - £30,000 Greater London: £29,200 - £34,000 Working Hours/Pattern: Full-time, although we would be happy to consider applicants who are looking to work on a part time basis. Reed Wellbeing is a public services provider that aims to support people in making sustainable lifestyle changes to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. Since 2015, we have been delivering a range of evidence-based, person centred interventions and services, including: NHS Health Checks, Smoking Cessation, Weight Management and Type 2 Diabetes Prevention and Treatment. Our NHS Health Check Catch-Up programme is a local preventative service. It is designed to identify early signs of conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, stroke, and dementia.
Our Health Check Practitioners are responsible for delivering our NHS Health Check service to eligible residents across Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster in a variety of community and primary care-based settings. This will involve, setting up a health check workstation; using systems; sensitively and appropriately asking participants NHS Health Check questions; physical health assessment including taking blood and measuring blood pressure; and effectively communicating risk and next steps to participants. Outside of delivery they are responsible for reviewing access to health checks and supporting increased access to health checks in a variety of ways (including direct delivery or engagement activities in primary care provision). All Practitioners will complete comprehensive training in order to carry out the NHS Health Check programme which will include e-learning, lifestyle advice training, group and one-to-one training sessions in carrying out blood testing, measuring blood pressure, understanding local services, procedures and information governance.
