Location: Client's homes across Maldon, Essex and designated areas
Reports to: Registered Manager or Care Coordinator
Essential: Must be a driver and own a car
Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care Support: Assist with washing, dressing, toileting, grooming and continence care.
- Mobility Support: Use appropriate aids (hoists, walking frames, etc.) to help with mobility.
- Oral & Skin Care: Help with oral hygiene and skin care routines.
- Nutrition & Medication: Prepare and serve meals/snacks according to dietary needs, support eating and drinking (especially where swallowing difficulties exist) and administer medication safely in line with care plans and training.
- Emotional & Social Wellbeing: Offer companionship and emotional support, encourage participation in hobbies, activities, and community engagement, and respect cultural, spiritual, and personal preferences.
- Household Tasks: Perform light cleaning, laundry and tidying, support with shopping and errands, and maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Record observations and changes in health or behaviour, report safeguarding concerns or incidents promptly, and maintain accurate daily logs and care notes (e.g. via Birdie or Nourish).

- Willingness to travel between clients' homes.
Training & Compliance
- Mandatory induction and ongoing CPD (e.g. dementia care, safeguarding, manual handling).
- Enhanced DBS check required.
- Familiarity with Health & Safety, GDPR, and infection control protocols.
Working Hours & Conditions
Flexible shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
Lone working in clients' homes.
Travel time and mileage may be compensated depending on whether you drive and own a car.
