Job summary
We are looking for highly motivated individuals with a passion for expanding their knowledge and experience in treating patients with urological diseases to join our team. The Surgical Triage Unit is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you can utilize a variety of transferable skills to deliver the highest level of patient care. Here, you'll gain valuable experience working with patients from multiple specialties, including general surgery, vascular, orthopedics, and urology.
Our unit is committed to offering comprehensive support to all our patients, both physically and mentally, from diagnosis through surgery and ongoing treatment. Although the acute care setting can be challenging, it is also incredibly rewarding.
This position includes extensive training, as well as personal and professional support throughout your tenure.
Our surgical triage unit has earned two green NAAS accreditations, reflecting the exceptional care we provide and the extensive learning opportunities available to our staff. We take pride in our commitment to excellence in patient care and staff development.

Main duties of the jobOUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
Due to the movement of services, the trust will ensure that all staff receive the appropriate additional training required and will receive specialist support from the urology nurses and clinicians.
Your care for other people and your willingness to go above and beyond to provide the best possible care to patients and relatives will ensure your success in the role. Friendly and approachable in your style, you'll be someone who can communicate well, be able to organise your workload accordingly and be a reliable point of support for patients, relatives and your colleagues.
Completion of an NVQ level 2, apprenticeship in Care or equivalent training is essential for this role, please refer to the job description.
