Job summary

To provide day to day care for service users under supervision of a Clinician which adheres to best practice, standards and guidelines, and contributes towards the service users care and treatment.

  • Work in partnership with service users, other members of the MDT staff as appropriate, to achieve the optimum health outcome for clients.
  • To be part of the MDT in providing a high and consistent level of holistic care, maintaining the dignity and equality of the individual. This includes direct care.
Main duties of the job

We have Health Care Support Worker vacancies in our Mental Health Team, based in Heddfan Wrexham. If you enjoy helping people and want to make a positive difference to their lives, this job could be perfect for you. Health Care Support Workers are at the absolute heart of what we do, delivering frontline care and support. Your work will involve working with elderly and vulnerable people who have mental health problems such as dementia and depression. Your role will include enabling people to stay living as independently as possible, to take part in activities in their local community and supporting them to maintain good mental and physical wellbeing. We are looking for well-motivated, conscientious and friendly people who are willing to learn and to play a key role in improving the lives of the patients we work with. You will have contact with patients, relatives, other members of the public and professionals from partner organisations.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
