This is a permanent, full-time position.
The shift pattern includes long days from 07:00 to 19:30 and night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, with rotations every 8 weeks. Hours may be reduced in 2026.
You will serve the Renfrewshire Mental Health Inpatient Wards, based across Dykebar Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital, and Leverndale Hospital. Initial placement will be at one site, with possible rotations to others. Applicants must be able to work at any of these locations.
You will care for patients with various mental health conditions, including adults and older adults, within a multidisciplinary team. Relevant experience and knowledge of mental health illnesses are required. The role involves direct and indirect care tasks, following standards set by senior nursing staff. You must have relevant healthcare experience, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.
The shift pattern is rotational, currently with long days from 07:00 to 19:30 and nights from 19:00 to 07:30, under review due to reduced working hours.
