Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK, employing around 40,000 staff across various clinical and non-clinical roles. We provide acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health services to a population of over 1.15 million, expanding to 2.2 million when regional and national services are included.

This is a permanent, part-time position of 22.2 hours per week (salary is pro-rata for part-time hours).

The shift pattern for this role is 08:30-16:30/16:18.

As part of the Vaccination Transformation Programme in Scotland, we have established four teams across NHSGG&C to deliver childhood immunisations. HCSWs are required to support the smooth running of community clinics, maintain cold chain procedures, manage stock and supplies, and communicate regularly with parents and carers. They contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of immunisations to children across Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

HCSW Role

Applicants should have experience working with children, an interest in public health, and a desire to work within a small, skilled team. The role involves primarily supporting community-based clinics to deliver childhood immunisations. Excellent communication skills and confidence in using IT are essential. Full training will be provided.

These positions are mainly based in Renfrewshire/Inverclyde (2 days), but all posts are employed by GGC Board, and cross-boundary working within the four teams may be required.
