The Role

NHS Lanarkshire is looking to recruit a Healthcare Support Worker - Addiction.

As a healthcare Support Worker you will undertake care duties for patients in support of and delegated by the Registered Nurse, within a hospital or similar setting. Reports patient condition to registered staff.

What we'll need you to bring
  • Knowledge of personal care and related procedures or previous volunteer or work experience in a health, education or social environment.
  • Required to undertake on the job training and induction
  • Undertake mandatory HCSW standards
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.

Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

Location and Working Pattern

This role will be based within HMP Shotts

The working pattern for this role: 3 week Rotational

Week 1 - Monday - Thursday 7.30am to 12.30pm

Week 2 - Thursday & Friday 7.30am to 12.30pm + Saturday & Sunday - 8am to 1pm

Week 3 - Tuesday - Friday 7.30am to 12noon
