Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience in various settings such as assisted living, nursing homes, and hospice care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care in a comfortable environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support for clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients’ health conditions.
  • Prepare nutritious meals tailored to clients’ dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist with mobility and transportation, including driving clients to appointments or social activities.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, including light housekeeping tasks.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
  • Support clients with Alzheimer\'s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments through behaviour management techniques.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in caregiving or home care settings is essential.
  • Familiarity with assisted living, nursing home experience, hospice care, and senior care practices is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures and medication administration protocols.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting clients with mobility or transfers.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transportation responsibilities.
