An excellent and rare opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Band 3 Health Care Support Worker within the Locala TB service, covering North and South Kirklees.
The role is varied, involving work within clinical settings and the community. While primarily based in North Kirklees, there may be occasions requiring work in the Huddersfield area.
Our service addresses tuberculosis (TB), a curable infectious disease, providing high-standard care to both children and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds, including active and latent TB cases. We offer weekly TB screening clinics for new arrivals from high-prevalence countries and support patients and their families affected by TB.
Our mission is to help vulnerable communities reach their potential and live well, free from TB, by providing high-quality care in the right place at the right time, working closely with stakeholders like UKHSA, Kirklees Council Public Health, and other support agencies.
We seek an experienced health care support worker interested in working in a unique and varied nursing field to join our friendly team.
