An opportunity exists for a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker at Bryn Y Neuadd Hospital in Llanfairfechan. You will provide essential support to individuals with learning disabilities, working as part of a dedicated team to improve patient care and quality of life. Applicants should have strong communication skills and be flexible in their roles, with a willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Health Care Support Worker to work within the in-patient services in Bryn Y Neuadd Hospital

The post holder will be based within Tan Y Coed

The successful applicants will support the Ward Managers to provide quality care for individuals with Learning Disabilities and associated complex health needs. As a key member of the team you should possess good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal). You should also be willing to work flexibly within a team.

Main duties of the job

The post involves working within a Learning Disability unit caring for people who suffer from a variety of mental/ Physical illness' to help gain an understanding of illness and develop strategies to cope with the illness when discharged back into the community. The post is offered on a shift basis and involves working weekend shifts the successful applicant would also be expected to work night duty on an internal rotation basis.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
