An opportunity for a Health care support workers to join our dedicated team within The Princess of Wales Hospital
Ward 6 is a Care of the Elderly Ward that specialises in Acute Medicine and Discharge Planning.
We are looking for reliable motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the team.
The individuals will be required to work under the direction of the registered nurse, ensuring high standards of care are provided and maintained at all times.
Successful candidate will be caring for patients within a hospital setting who are awaiting to go home with support or nursing/residential placements.
You will be responsible for providing care for patients who require assistance with all activities of daily living including washing, dressing mobilising, feeding and pressure area care.
Successful candidate will also be expected to complete documentation to an acceptable standard and assist in keeping ward area clean and clutter free.
The applicants will be expected to demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organisational skills along with the ability to use their own initiative.
Flexibility regarding shift patterns is essential.
Welsh Skills Desirable: This post is advertised as Welsh Desirable. This doesn't mean essential; whilst the candidate doesn't need to have skills in Welsh, we'll consider it an advantage when short-listing and selecting candidates. This isn't 'fluency', just Speaking & Listening skills at Level 3 (equivalent to CEFR B2) or above. Level 3 means basic conversations with patients about their everyday health.
