Qualifications

• Experience of working with children age 0-5 years.
• Evidence of successful experience of teaching, training or assessing groups of students.
• Sound grasp of relevant teaching strategies and techniques.

Join Our Team as a Health and Social Care Teacher in Birkenhead, Merseyside, UK

Position: Health & Social Care (Early Years) (Fixed term for 12 months)

Location: Birkenhead, Merseyside, United Kingdom

Salary: £18,121 to £25,061 per annum

Employment Type: Part time, Temporary

About Us:

Wirral Met College is dedicated to providing quality education in Health and Social Care. We are looking for a passionate Healthcare & Early Years Teacher to join our team and contribute to our students' success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out formal scheduled teaching on programmes ranging from level 1 to 5
• Undertake a personal tutor and/or programme leader role to groups of students in order to maintain high achievement rates.
• Prepare delivery plans, sequenced learning plans and learning materials.
• Mark students’ work and carry out internal quality assurance.
• Work as part of the team in the monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of the programmes.
• Maintain appropriate College records, and the follow the College Quality processes.
• Participate in self-assessment procedure in order to monitor and evaluate performance.
• Carry out student reviews and tutorials.
• Contribute to curriculum development
  
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Level 2 or above English/literacy qualifications
• Level 2 or above Maths/numeracy qualifications
• Degree or equivalent qualification in early years or a related area
