Health Care Assistant - WBCH - Outpatients - (part time 18 h/w)

Bracknell & Townlands Hospital is eager to recruit enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Healthcare Assistants.

We seek motivated and enthusiastic candidates interested in starting a healthcare career and gaining valuable NHS experience in an acute hospital setting. A caring nature, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn and develop are essential.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality essential care to patients under the supervision of a registered practitioner in a caring, compassionate, and sensitive manner.
  • Act always in the patient’s best interests.
  • Protect and maintain patient privacy and dignity at all times.
  • Provide individualized care respecting personal beliefs and preferences.
  • Alert the registered practitioner and/or ward/department manager to any changes or concerns regarding the patient’s welfare promptly.
  • Undertake specific clinical skills relevant to the area, such as venepuncture, cannulation, and escorting patients, following training and assessment of competence.
  • Provide enhanced care to patients requiring additional supervision and support to meet their safety and wellbeing needs.
  • Supervise and guide junior or less-experienced staff.
