Health Care Assistant - WBCH - Outpatients (Part time)

Health Care Assistant - WBCH - Outpatients - (part time 18 h/w).

Bracknell & Townlands Hospital is keen to recruit enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Healthcare Assistants.

We seek motivated and enthusiastic individuals interested in starting a healthcare career and gaining valuable NHS experience in an acute hospital setting. A caring nature, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn and develop are essential.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide high-quality essential care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Practitioner in a caring, compassionate, and sensitive manner:

  • Act always in the patient's best interests.
  • Protect and maintain the patient's privacy and dignity at all times.
  • Provide individualized care, respecting personal beliefs and preferences.
  • Alert the Registered Practitioner and/or Ward/Department Manager to any changes or concerns regarding patient welfare promptly.
  • Undertake specific clinical skills relevant to the area following training and assessment, such as venepuncture, cannulation, and escorting patients.
  • Provide enhanced care to patients requiring additional supervision and support to meet their safety and wellbeing needs.
  • Supervise and guide junior or less-experienced staff.
